Meditation''''s Easy - Try It

Why meditation?

Do you ever get the feeling that if only you could empty your head of all the thoughts that are racing around in there, you might feel better and even get a few things done?

If you do, meditation could be the answer you're looking for.

Meditation will not contradict your religious or spiritual beliefs in any way, so it's suitable for everyone. It's safe and simple too.

The meditation sound tracks available on this page are very simple. They contain either music or natural sounds (like ocean waves, bird song, etc.), or a combination of them. They are very relaxing and will help to promote an inner calmness, simply making you feel refreshed.

There are literally thousands of different meditation techniques you could use, but here I'm suggesting just one; a very simple one which is great for everyone including anyone who has never tried meditation before.

Any of the meditation downloads on this page are suitable for this technique. You can listen to the either whole track or just a part of it.

The longer you meditate for, the more noticable the effects will be. Anyone should be able to manage 10 minutes a day. If you can, try 30 minutes or an hour - you'll feel incredible!

Here's my really simple way to meditate using them:

  1. Find somewhere quiet where you will be uninterrupted for the duration of the meditation.
  2. Sit comfortably (try to avoid lying down as you may just fall asleep).
  3. Loosen any tight clothing and remove your shoes.
  4. Close your eyes.
  5. Take a few slow, deep breaths.
  6. Start the meditation track and focus upon it.
  7. When a thought pops into your head simply acknowledge it, don't judge or consider it, just accept it as being there and then let it go, returning your focus to the meditation track.
  8. The more often you practice meditating, the easier it will be to let go of any thoughts and the clearer your mind will become as a result.
  9. The whole object of this meditation technique is simply to clear your mind of any thoughts and enjoy the soundtrack. The benefit will be that once you've finished, you'll feel calmer, more relaxed, more focussed and think more clearly.
  10. Practice this technique daily and you'll start to notice an inner stillness and calm that you weren't aware of before.
  11. The best times of day to meditate are as soon as you get up and just before going to bed, but meditation can be great at any time of day.

Please Note: Never try to meditate whilst driving or operating any kind of machinery.
