As a rule, men are hugely attracted to a woman's physical attributes. They are mainly attracted to looks and body shape; so much so, that almost everything else is (initially at least), ignored. This is not to say that men don't care about other attributes a woman may have, just that they usually pay very little attention to them during the first few encounters.

Women on the other hand, are far more attracted to personality traits during initial interactions. Of course looks matter to them, but the importance of looks to the average woman, is tiny in comparison to most men.

So, very generally speaking, if you want to attract someone of the opposite sex, as a man you should work on personality traits like confidence and sense of humour, and as a woman you should find ways to make the most of your physical looks. Most hetrosexual men are highly attracted to women who are PHYSICALLY feminine and most hetrosexual women are highly attracted to men whose BEHAVIOUR is masculine.
